A city homeowner discovered a fire burning in an upstairs bedroom early this morning and managed to get the other occupants out safely...
Prince George Fire Chief Jeff Rowland says fire crews from two halls responded to the blaze burning at 23-15 Victoria Street just after 4am this morning.
Rowland says the blaze apparently broke out in the second-floor bedroom and it was heavily damaged by the flames, while smoke damage is extensive throughout the rest of the upstairs.
It's believed a burning candle may have touched off the fire.
No one was injured. Rowland says a damage estimate is not yet available.
