RCMP say foul play is not suspected in connection with the discovery of a man's body, found lying in the snow near the Hudson's Bay Slough along Queensway Street.
Police are not releasing if factors such as weather played a role in the man's demise, saying the cause of death will be determined by an autopsy.
RCMP will say the victim is not 55-year-old Randolph Peal. The legally blind Nisga'a Native has not been seen since February 4th.
There were unsubstantiated reports a white cane had been seen on the Simon Fraser Bridge, but police have been unable to locate it.
A helicopter search of the Fraser River last week failed to find any sign of Peal.
