It will be May before we hear the final chapter in the case that is being heard in B.C. Supreme Court in Prince George.
The case involves three young men, Mathew Garfield, Lorne McConnell, and Scott Payne. The charges include, extortion, aggravated assault and witness tampering.
The Court has heard how houses are being established in residential areas in Prince George for the sole purpose of distributing crack-cocaine. Other testimony indicated 20 rocks of crack cocaine can be sold out of one of these houses in less than an hour, and a new supply delivered within 20 minutes.
The Court has also heard how one person who owed money, ($170.00) had a finger cut off when he was only able to pay back half that amount within the specified time frame.
Unable to complete the trial within the originally allotted time frame, the case will resume May 2nd . That is the earliest available date for all concerned.
