The Crown has been handed all the information, but there has been no word yet on what charges, if any, will be laid against a 28 year old Prince George man.
He was arrested at an Aitken Cresent residence early last week when police, accompanied by members of the Integrated Child Exploitation Unit executed a warrant at the home. At that time, police seized a computer and computer storage equipment.
There has been no further information released on this case, although there has been a rash of child porography cases in the news over the past 6 weeks.
Those stories include the guilty plea of a Edmonton man, 49 year old Carl Treleaven, who admitted to being the host of an internet kiddie porn chat room. When police raided his home, there were 90 people logged on, and a further 30 waiting for access to the site. The international connections on that chat room are expected to yield further arrests. Treleaven has yet to be sentenced.
Another case, this time out of Toronto, saw actor Robert Norman Smith (who played the part of the mutton chopped Scottish fan of Alexander Keith's), turn himself over to police in the wake of child porn posession allegations.
