The Mininstry of the Environment has cancelled the air quality advisory issued yesterday. Particulate levels have decreased in much of the Prince George area.
Yesterday, the levels exceeded the target reading of "50" at two of three sites with PM10 readings of 56 Downtown, 43 at College Heights and 56 at the BCR.
The morning those readings have dropped to 33 downtown and 16 at College Heights but increased to 61 at the BCR site.
The particulate matter that is boosting the ratings is mainly road dust and, according to the Ministry, "Combustion sources east and northeast of downtown."
The cancellation of the air quality advisory means wood burning fireplaces and wood stoves may be used again.
