Traffic on Highway 16 West returned to normal last evening, following a horrific accident that claimed the life of a Prince George woman.
Police say the woman died at the scene when her vehicle crossed the centre line and collided head on with an empty logging truck that was heading west. The trucker suffered minor injuries.
The accident forced the closure of the highway for more than four hours. The accident scene was cleared and fully opened just after 9 last night.
Police expect to release more information today.
