They need to 4-lane that section. What is it now 4 dead in the last few months on that same short stretch of hiway.

The heavey hiway trucks can not get up to highway speed after the Mud River hill until they get to the Blackwater Road so everyone going East gets impatient and make dangerous pass's where they otherwise wouldn't....
Hey Chadermando, I think you are in the wrong area of town...... if you check it is 4 lane but shortly turns into 2 as it goes south
I was there....it is just 1 lane each way where the accident occured.

And it was not passing either.
The car was east bound into PG, and suddenly for swerved into the path of the west bound unloaded logging truck.
The logging truck did everything possible to miss the car and eventually flew off the hwy and down the steep bank rolling onto its side.
Who knows shy the car swerved...the pavement is bad at that point and i know from experience the ruts throw vehicles around.
Or maybe she reached for something, had a heartattack, or any other of a million reasons.

God rest her soul !
Sorry, typo's galore.
I need to be off the phone when I post.
This highway is nothing but a DEATH TRAP. How many more people are going to die before something is done. There needs to be a 4 lane highway built soon, or others will die. In the last year or so this highway has killed 6 people, and leaving one child without parents. I urge people to contact the MLA (John Rustad) for this area and voice their concerns.
Now the truck driver has to worry they don't find some little thing wrong with his truck or he will be charged. The truck will be getting a full inspection.I was at the scene and people were already blaming the truck driver even though they had know idea what went on.
