The Transportation Safety Board has released video images of the wreckage of the Queen of the North.

The images were obtained by the manned sub, and show the ship is intact, and sitting in 1400 feet of water on the ocean floor, resting in silt.

The Transportation Safety Board says  the "field phase" of its investigation is nearly over, and  investigators will soon start working on analyzing all the information it has gathered.

Meantime,  B.C. Ferries has announced its Director of Safety Health and the Environment has resigned.  Darin Bowland  handed in his resignation yesterday citing "personal reasons".

Closer to home, Northern Health says its mental health councilors remain busy in Prince Rupert, as people in that community are trying to come to terms with the events of last week and many are just seeking out  help now in dealing with the emotional trauma brought on by the sinking.

Is this a joke? There is no way that this video footage will satisfy the publics concern regarding how the boat went down. Where is the hole? All we see is the logo on the boat and a few bubbles.
I agree. This video is a joke. I do understand that it is tragic that 2 people may have died in the sinking and for privacy concerns not much video can be shown at this time. But this video is so ridiculous I don't even know why the TSB decided to release it at all. All this video proves is that the boat is on the bottom of the ocean and we already know that from 100 odd people saying they saw the boat sink. This video does nothing to give the public any answers.
Yes we all know it's the Queen of the North and registered in Victoria. Heck of a lot of money spent to take a picture of the stern.
