There were 4888 fans on hand at CN Centre tonight to watch as the Cougars lost to Vancouver , 6- nothing.
But if you ask the Cougar fans, the one who really "won " the game was Referee Kyle Rehman.
Within the first four minutes, Rehmen took total control of the game, and at the end of the first period it was 2-nothing for the Giants. By the end of the 2nd period it was 5-nothing as the Cougars struggled to have a physical game without drawing penalties. But draw penalties they did. When the final buzzer sounded, the Cougars had been assessed 51 minute in penalties, the Giants 28.
The Giants went 4/8 on the power play, and managed to net one short handed goal.
Although the Giants have visited the Cougars 18 times, this is only their 12th victory on the Cougars home ice.
Game 4 in the series goes Wednesday night at the CN Centre, again game time is 7:30 and it will be televised on Shaw T.V.
