It was a real battle.
The Cougars opened the scoring in the first period with a goal by Greg Gardner. but Vancouver answered when Mitch Bartley found the net. End of the first period, tied at one.
Second period, no score.
Third period, Eric Hunter scored short handed and the Cougars had a 2-1 lead. Vancouver's Gilbert Brule got the mark for Vancouver, and the game was tied again. 2-2.
Overtime. Gilbert Brule scores in just under four minutes of play and it's all over. Giants 3 Cougar's 2
Vancouver takes a 3-1 game lead in the best of 7 series.
