Tim's Settles the Rav Rave

The controversy over who gets the rrrroll up the rrrrim Rav is over.

According to the CBC, Tim Horton's has awarded the Rav to the parents of the 10 year old girl who found the discarded winning cup.

The 10 year old had asked her 12 year old friend to help her roll up the rim, and when she did, they discovered the cup was a Rav winner. That's when the trouble started, with parents of both girls claiming ownership of the cup, and the person who tossed the cup then got into the fray.

As far as Tim Horton's is concerned, the matter is closed and the keys will be given to the parents of the 10 year old.

They could have settled it the next day, but it would not have gotten Tim the media coverage it did. Nice move on their PR department's part.

Oh and I would suspect they talked to several lawyers, and looked into legal ramifications etc. as well.

And lawyers are not always the fastest moving bunch.
