Two searches carried out today.
First, this morning, just before 11 a.m., the dog unit was called in to track a suspect spotted breaking into a home on Kenwood. Officers were able to apprehend a suspect after a two block chase. A 31 year old man is in custody.
Then, around 2:00 this afternoon, two young offenders escaped from their work gang in the UNBC area. Two dog units were called to action. At the eight of the search, about 12 police units and two Police service dogs were looking for the escapees. In less than an hour and a half, the two young offenders were found in the area of 5th and Tabor. They were taken into custody without incident.
