The Community Planning Council’s budget increase request is back before Prince George Council tonight. The recommendation from City staff would have the Planning Council’s budget boosted from $35 thousand a year to $108 thousand.
There are three presentations set for this evening.
1. National Volunteer Week
2. Update on the BC211 Initiative
3. Chamber of Commerce presentation on the setting of tax rates.
The idea of free parking for those who have Veteran’s plates on their vehicles will be back before Council, as will the full application for a grant from the Northern Development Trust to help build a boat launch.
Council will also look at the PG Transit system operating agreement, and there is good news to report with revenues up and expenses down, there seems to be some room for reinvestment.
