City Wants Your Thoughts on Downtown Parking

The City is sending out an invitation for your thoughts on  parking in the downtown.

The downtown Transportation and Parking Study will include a review of prvious plans for the downtown area,  and  will be used  to  come up with a new outline that will be in keeping with the  planned changes to the downtown core.

Specifically, the study will  take a look at how to the road networks couldbe mproved, including changes to traffic control,  parking regulations,  the use of one way streets and  facilities for pedestrians.

This examination will start with an open house on the 9th of May in the Cranbrook North Room at the Ramada hotel.  Although open from 11:30 to 6 p.m., City staff will be on hand to  from 11:30 to 4:30, and then again from 4:30 to 6:00.

 

There will also be a survey available on line,  www.city.pg.bc.ca/downtowntrans 

The survey taking portion of this study will wrap up May 31st.

I wish them well. Unless there is at least one hour free parking I plan to continue avoiding the downtown area
I have no desire to go to the downtown area. I might contemplait the odd visit if there were 1 hour free parking.
there is two hours of free parking all along third avenue .... plus any place where meters have been broken off .....
