Cougar's at Bantam Draft

    The Cougars are setting the stage for a "big" future, with the size of some of the players they have  chosen so far in the Bantam Draft.  Here’s where they’re at:

With the 35th overall pick in the 2006 WHL Bantam Draft, the Prince George Cougars have selected right winger Ryan Kowalski .
Kowalski was acquired after the Cougars and Regina Pats traded their 2nd round picks with each other. Kowalski, a 6’0”, 185 lbs native of Abbotsford, BC, suited up for his hometown Abbotsford Hawks last season.
3rd Round action saw the Cougars attain right defenseman Art Bidlevski
The 6’0”, 185 pound Bidlevski hails from Kelowna and with the 12th overall pick in the 2006 WHL Bantam Draft, the Cougars have selected right defenseman Stefan Elliott of the North Shore Winter Club.  Elliot, a product of North Vancouver, stands 6’0”, and weighs in at 165 lbs.
Round 5 (#103rd overall), acquired left winger Erich (“Eric”) Binner. Binner is a 5’10”, 160 lbs. product of Calgary, AB. The Cougars obtained their 5th round selection when they switched 2nd round picks with the Regina Pats earlier this morning.
Round 6:(#117 overall pick) is 5’11’’, 165 lbs. centre Lane Menage. Menage is a product of Innisfail, AB
