While the Prince George Golf and Curling Club has yet to publicly identify the property it is looking at for a new golf course in the city, Opinion250 has learned  the parcel  in question  is about 1 mile to the west of Foothills Boulevard, east of Pideherny Road off the North Nechako Road.

The piece the Club has been looking at is owned by the Crown which is prepared to sell the land.  The Golf Club would pay stumpage on the land which contains a vast timber supply of balsam and Fir with very little spruce on it.

The deal has been held up while the Club tries to negotiate a roadway into the site.  There is plenty of water on  the site, which would make perfect  water hazards, and provide more than sufficient irrigation.  Some Club members have indicated the topography of the  property  would allow  for the creation of an excellent golf course

The real problem with the site, is access.  The Club is trying to  negotiate access across private land, and is still trying to come to some sort of an agreement in order to have the project move ahead.
