Looks like they got enough logs off there to build a nice student pub overlooking the city.

;-)
Too bad the trades bidding are not being treated equally. Appears that who you know is as important as what you know. I am sure it will end up to be a nice building- kind of like a quonset in Alberta. Has anyone seen the soccer building in West Quesnel? Pretty nice for a small city.
I think the quesnel, building might be considered similar to a Quonset hut. It is all metal. Very functional. No money available for wood in there at all. Basically it looks like a functional building similar to ice arenas with a higher ceiling. Quonset huts are extremely functional.

The UNBC facility will certainly have a curved roof like a quonset hut, but from there the similarity stops. Chernoff Thompson designed the building. They have designed most of the buildings on campus.

Well I don't know about the comment on the trades bidding but don't forget that the building is being done by a P3. So your tax dollars are paying for the majority of the building and yet you will not own it or make any profit from it.
You need to do your homework before you make an uniformed comment Lunarguy. The P3 concept has been out the window for several months now. It's a design/build contract only... to be operated by some combination of UNBC/City to be determined. This was made clear publically on several occasions over the past three months.
