Vehicle Flips, One Man Facing Charges

A  witness reported seeing a car flip end over end at Highway 16 and First Avenue  last night.  The witness called police and advised them the lone occupant then got out of the car and  started running towards downtown.

Police found  their suspect near 3rd and Queensway.  He was arrested and taken to cells.  Police  say the 29 year old man had been drinking, and will face a string of charges under the motor vehicle act. 

The charges carry fines totalling more than 12 hundred dollars.

The driver was not injured, but the  1990 Plymouth Sundance he was driving was totalled.
