Happy Birthday Your Majesty!

    Barkerville is kicking off a new season with Her Majesty herself, Queen Victoria ( or at least a reasonable facsimile) being the guest of honour at a special Victorian Tea. 

The tea of course is to Honour Her Majesty’s 187th birthday and will take place from 2:00 till 4:00 at Barkerville.

Open for another season there are some new faces in the streets of the living museum town, and a new Theatre Royal Show "Dancing Girls of the Cariboo."

 Barkerville is entering it’s second year under a new Trust.  In its first year of operation, the Trust reported a 3 % increase in revenue,  and retailers in the historic  town reported increased sales.
