Fire Fighters at 4 Forest Fires

Prince George Fire Centre has crews at four forest fires in the region.
The largest is at Naglico Lake where about 1,000 hectares are in flames. There are about 40 firefighters on the scene. Naglico Lake is about 200 km south west of Prince George. The fire was first reported Tuesday and the cause is under investigation.
About 100 km southwest of P.G. there is a fire at Batnuni Lake. That one is believed to have been started by lightning, and at this point, there are 40 firefighters on the scene trying to contain the fire which has so far consumed about 250 hectares.
Southwest of Vanderhoof (about 45 km), another crew of 20 is working on trying to contain a fire at Northbend Creek. That fire is believed to have been started by lightning. 4 bulldozers are being deployed to that area.
There are air tankers on standby, but so far, they have not been called to action.
In the east, there are ten firefighters working on a 7 hectare fire near Dunster. The cause of that fire is under investigation.
