Athletic Commission Wants Answers and Direction

The Prince George Athletic Commission has sent a letter to Mayor Kinsley and Council asking for direction.
It was the Athletic Commission which approved the "Battle of the Hockey Enforcers", and Council's emergency meeting which overturned that approval and cancelled the event has serious ramificiations.
"We are asking Council for a meeting as soon as possible." says Athletic Commission Chairman, George Winter. "We would like to know if Council wants us to finish our mandate, and if so, what guidelines would Council wish us to follow?"
The letter to Mayor and Council was unanimously approved by Chairman George Winter, and the Commission's two other members, namely Harold Mann and Eric Hunter.
Winter admits his initial thoughts after Council cancelled the August 27th slugfest were to resign, "But there are too many loose ends right now, and we owe it to the people planning other sporting events in the coming months to hang in there."
Winter is hopeful of making some changes, "I would hope we would have an opportunity to work on re-writing the by-laws so the next group isn't handed a can of worms" he added " We followed the guidelines before (in approving the Hockey Enforcers event) and obviously came up with the wrong decision."

What is it that the Commission does not understand about that? Do they not network with their three other counterparts in the Province?
The commissioners need to take responsibility for theit actions. If they do not understand the legalities of their mandate, they ought not to be Commissioners.
