Mayor to Go One More Round with Enforcers

Prince George Mayor, Colin Kinsley, will go one more round on the Battle of the Hockey Enforcers.
Councilor Dan Rogers  made the official request  that the Mayor use his authority to  revisit the issue at the next Council meeting and Kinsley is doing just that.

Says Rogers, "We know there will be consequences for cancelling this event, however, we are not informed as to the full extent of those financial consequences.  I would rather apologize for the event happening,  then go back and change the rules so we don't repeat the mistake, than to waste taxpayers dollars on court costs."

Rogers tried at the special Council meeting Wednesday night, to have the motion to cancel the event tabled until the financial ramifications  could be assessed but the motion to table was defeated when only he and Councilor Sherry Sethen voted in favour of such an action.

Kudos, Dan.
Wtg Dan, its good to see someone with common sense.
It looks to me like its between Dan and Brian for mayor in November.

This was their first head to head issue of difference that I can see.

As of now my vote goes to Dan. Brian screwed up showing poor judgement on this issue IMO.
I can't believe that we are reading this, these guys didn't fully understand the consequences of what they were voting on.....c'mon, Lil Collin,Zurowski and Rogers, good work, the rest of them should be ashamed of themselves. These people are making financial decisions on our behalf and they don't understand what they are voting on.Dan and Brian for mayor PLEEEEEAAAASE,Dan Rogers maybe but Brian the pulp mill worker for mayor c'mon lets get real here. How about Don Zurowski for mayor? and send at least half the existing council packing,Skakun,Moose and Krause included
