It will be interesting to see the stats next year on Canadian resident travel.

According to Stats Canada, during the 2nd quarter of 2005 (the latest stats available)  Canadians made 50 million visits within the country.

About 42.2 million of those visits were to visit friends or relatives and for pleasure.

The number of  visits and how we travelled will make for interesting comparisons this time next year, as the 2005 numbers released so far, show  that  for 93 % of those visits, we travelled by car or by truck.

Here is how the price of gas (regular) stood this past week across the country.  All prices are  BEFORE taxes.

I have come to the opionion that people don't care about the price of gas ie. on the corner of 5th and Carney thier is a petrocan and a shell the petrocan is often a cent a litre higher but still consumers buy fuel thier instead of across the street where it is cheaper what gives?
