Police Find Wanted Man

Prince George RCMP have arrested a man wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant.

Earlier  today, Police  noted a stolen vehicle heading north  on Highway 97 at Houghtalling Rd in Prince George.  They pulled over the  red '97 Chev Tahoe and identified the driver as William Malcolm McKay.   He was wanted for a Federal Parole violation and is a suspect in  an incident where a  firearm was pointed.

Police found a number of firearms and weapons in the vehicle, including a loaded 12 gauge shot gun and a .308 calibre rifle.  Both had been stolen out of Surrey.  They also seized a loaded .22, an assortment of samurai swords, a smoke bomb, a crossbow , knives, and  ammunition.

Police also confiscated  some other property they believe had ben stolen.

McKay was taken into custody without indicent, and is facing charges of theft over $5,000,  posession of stolen property, and  a number of firearms offences in addition to the 2 outstanding warrants.
