City presented with this  award for B.C. Olympic Committee efforts

The City of Prince George has been given a pat on the back from the Premier and the 2010 Olympics Committee.
First, the Premier has announced Prince George, along with 94 other B.C. communities with a Spirit of B.C. Olympic Committee, has been given an Honourable Mention in the B.C. Volunteer Awards.
Secondly, the City received a letter from the  2010 Olympic Committee thanking it for its participation in the games in Torino and for  “helping to make B.C. Canada House such a success.”

A prime example of one level of Government patting another level of Government on the back for helping them to spend money.

I wonder why, on a BC volunteer ward, the "Volunteer Vancouver" logo is featured?

Sort of befitting. The rest of the province volunteering to give Vancouver a helping hand in their hour of need.
