Council Flips over Hockey Enforcers

In the end it was Council doing the "flip- flop- belly- flop- give the dog a bone" on the matter of holding the Hockey Enforcer fights in Prince George. 

Less than a week ago the idea was toasted by the Council, last night was a different matter when most councilors argued that it was the matter of liability that made them change their mind.  

Well that was all of them save Councilor Brian Skakun, who argues that the Mission statement by the Athletic Commission is not a by law, and to that end, he is absolutely correct. 

As long as the cops don’t come along and try to bust up the party ,it’s a go, and why should they?  They receive the bulk of their funding from the City of Prince George. 

So for Council, the kitchen got too hot over the past few days and they had a “change of Heart’ and wasted no time in getting out of the kitchen.
 
On yet a second matter, does it really take from June 21st until June 27th, for a member of the by laws department from city hall to check out to see if RV’s are parking in large parking lots in the city?  Councilor Scott got roasted by the Mayor last night saying that these things take time to investigate "alleged infractions".

Take a ride Mr. Mayor , the charges are real and as for Scott asking, well surely it doesn’t take six days to take a drive through the parking lots.  If you can get a parking ticket within 20 minutes of exceeding the time limit, surely someone can talk to the big boxers about r.v. parking, but  of course parking tickets are a money maker.  There in lies the difference.
