City Council has voted 8-1 to let the Battle of the Hockey enforcers go ahead. It was the second time round for Council's consideration on the matter ( see also Council Gives Green Light to Enforcers)
Hockey Enforcers Promoter, Darryl Wolski, says he is happy the vote went his way and he now will be able to stage his Hockey Enforcers event on the 27th of August.
Speaking from his home in Brandon, Manitoba, Wolski told Opinion 250 News, he was surprised at the strength of the vote but very pleased.
"It truly was democracy in action. It’s been a roller coaster ride" said the promoter, "one minute you’re up the next you're down."
Wolski says fortunately, the Pay per view people in the USA were just starting to hear that he had been turned down and he was able to tell them
"To just wait until after 11 PM tonight, things will change."
Wolski didn't say how he knew the decision would be overturned BEFORE the vote was held.
In the long run, Wolski says, "The only question I have is, will the media, given the fact that its now a go, give the same amount of publicity as they did when the deal was killed? We will just have to wait and see."

Now, let's sit back and wait for all the planes, trains, automobiles, and, oh yes, buses, to roll into the city for this infamous event.
I would like to know how many cities turned this event down. Prince George set a precedent for accepting such a ridiculous event in this city. Shame.
Other commentors, do not bother coming back at me. I really do not care about the ones who will attend this show. I do care about the decent folk in this city who would like to feel some sort of pride as to our morals, integrity and sense of decency.
Rest assured--this is not over!!!!
