It’s a dream come true for four Prince George Cougars who were selected in the N-H-L entry draft which was held in Vancouver.
Ty Wishart was the second defenceman taken as he was chosen by San Jose in the 1st round, 16th overall.
Wishart is the 3rd PG Cougar selected in the first round joining Dan Hamhuis (2001 to Nashville) and Eric Brewer (1997 to the NYI).
Blueliner Jesse Dudas and sniper Eric Hunter both went in the 6th round with Dudas going to Columbus (159th overall) and Hunter to the New York Rangers (174th overall).
Right winger Evan Fuller became property of the Canucks in the 7th and final round (197th overall).
The W-H-L had 24 players selected in the draft, four of them in the first round.
