RCMP Open Attempted Murder File

Prince George RCMP Forensic Identification investigators and the Major Crimes Section are at a homein the 1800 block of Queensway today - probing what began as a report of a serious assault Sunday afternoon.

Police were called to a home where they found a female victim seriously injured. She remains in serious condition at Prince George Regional Hospital, with numerous injuries including a compressed skull, and stab wounds.

A 44 year old man is in police custody; he was arrested in the home, and police are recommending a charge of attempted murder.

Mounties are asking for members of the victim's family who took her to hospital, to contact the investigating officers. They would particularly like to speak to the woman's son who assisted in getting medical treatment for her.

I say we try some alternative justice. I think we should take him 20 miles out to sea in strong winds with no life jacket and a pair of oversized jeans on. If he makes it to the beach he's free to go.
