The Cariboo Fire Centre has added travel restrictions to the list of don'ts in the region.

Forest fire activity in the area of Anahim Lake has prompted the B.C. Forest Service to announce a week-long set of road restrictions in the area.

Included are the Dean River Road, and all side roads stemming from it north of the Poison Lake Recreation area.

Travel on the Beef Trail Road north of the Tulsulko River Bridge is also restricted.

The Cariboo Fire Centre says the danger rating in the region for forest fires to occur remains extreme, despite some recent precipitation.
