Prince George RCMP  are looking over some security video in an effort to identify the person who  tried to use a fake $50 dollar bill at a business on 20th Avenue over the weekend.

The store clerk held on to the bill while the suspect fled the scene.  It was an older style bill with the serial number FHY6267882.    Police say the fake does not have the security features of the newer bills and are easily copied on color photocopy machines.

The counterfeit case wasn't the only thing keeping Prince George  RCMP busy over the weekend.

There was an accident Saturday evening at Ogilvie and 2nd Avenue.  A van had run a stop sign, then hit a small car.  A 10 year old boy in that car was taken to hospital suffering from shoulder pain.

On Sunday there was another accident which was the result of a driver running a stop sign.  That one took place at 5th and Victoria Street.   A green explorer failed to stop for the stop sign and hit a northbound vehicle on Victoria, the impact  caused the other vehicle to roll.  No one hurt, but  Victoria was reduced to one lane until the vehicle could be set up right and towed.
