Serious Crash on Mud River Hill

A serious motor vehicle rollover occurred just after 11 this morning on Highway 16 West on the Mud River hill, resulting in two people being thrown from the vehicle.

The driver of a small eastbound car lost control while trying to pass another eastbound vehicle when coming down the Mud River hill. The car crossed the two westbound lanes and went into the ditch, where it rolled over. The two occupants who were ejected were not wearing seatbelts. No alchohol was involved in the incident.

All three occupants were taken to Prince George Regional Hospital, and a female passanger who was ejected from the car is in serious condition. RCMP are not releasing names or the make of the vehicle at this time.

A traffic analyst is on scene, and RCMP advise there may be traffic delays in the area while the immediate investigation is underway.
