Prince George RCMP want to interview the driver of a red minivan, who is reported to have been observing children in the Bendixon Road area on Tuesday evening.

The elderly driver was reported to have been watching the children playing and then later followed them back to a residence. The vehicle drove off and RCMP were contacted.

The vehicle is described as a red, 1990 Plymouth Voyageur minivan, with cardboard covering the rear and side windows.

RCMP advise anyone with information about the whereabouts of the van to contact them immediately.

I think I saw that same mini van a couple of weeks ago and almost got in a fight with him. I parked at Wilkinson Park gate to take the dog for a evening walk when it drove past me. Stopped about a hundred yards away, and then backed up and turned into the bush on the other side of the road with his highbeems shining into my truck. I thought, what is this guy staring at, and didn't want to leave my truck there with this creepy dude around. I am not sure if he could see that I was in my truck, so I turned my highbeems on right back at him and he still sat there staring at me with his high beems shining on my truck. Then I drove up to him rolled down my window and gave him the finger telling him he was an ignorant prick with nothing better to do. Then the side door opened up and a half dozen guys in their 40-50's piled out of the red voyager minivan wanting to fight. I drove off and figured I'd walk the dog another time. They followed for a while but stopped following just as I was approaching a friends place.

The van I saw was a early 90's red voyager mini van with a little bit of rust faded paint, and I think it had that wood panneling on it? I've since seen it in the hart area a few time since.
Cardboard covering the rear and side windows? I don't remember that being a "factory option" back then.
Sure it was simple, it was called the "loser edition", very rare and sought after by collectors and pedophiles these days!
Good to know that people are paying attention. Went to Ft. George Park last summer with my little boy and just could not feel comfortable with a 20 something man sitting at the playground watching the kids. All the other parents kept a watch on him and made sure their kids stayed away. My husband couldn't stand it after a short while so he walked over and in a friendly way asked the man which of the kids was his. The guy knowing that he was caught, got up and left without answering. Some of the parents we talked to were very angry but were reluctant to confront him because it was a public place and they didn't want to make a big scene, however we all knew that this behaviour was not normal for any young man without kids. Unfortunately we all have to be much more observant and suspicious today to make sure our kids are safe. Here's hoping that the public continues to pay attention to guys like this.
I want to interview this guy too.
Ask him about his van too, the "Child Abduction Edition".
