An RCMP dive team was in Prince George today, working at a site in the Nechako River where a submerged vehicle was located earlier this week.

The vehicle has been pulled from the river near Wilson Park, and is a white 1993 Chevy Blazer with no plates on it.

The good news is, the SUV was empty.  It was sitting in about 12 feet of water.

Photo at right shows the  white blur people could see from the CN tracks on the South Side of the Nechako River.

The vehicle was uninsured and had been stolen sometime around August 14th or 15th, says Constable Gary Godwin of the Prince George RCMP.

The  Diving team was made up of three divers,  and two recruits who were on hand to  gain some experience.
