RCMP say the man killed yesterday when the gravel truck he was driving collided with a logging truck on the Blackwater Road was 48 year old Tommy Douglas Neil Barlow of Prince George.
He was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the collision, but police say even if he had been wearing a belt, it likely would not have saved his life.
The driver of the logging truck has been identified as 28 year old Ronald Mercier of Prince George.
Police say their investigation indicates drugs or alcohol did not play a part in the fatal crash.
The Blackwater Road was closed for most of the day yesterday and opened to single alternating traffic for most of last evening.
