One RCMP member is injured and two men have been arrested after an early evening pursuit yesterday in Prince George’s north end. Arrested are 22-year-old Colby Johnson, who escaped earlier this month from a jail work crew, as well as an unidentified 34-year-old man.

At about 5:15 yesterday evening, RCMP received a report of two vehicles with extensive body damage being driving erratically in the North Nechako Rd. and Foothills area.

A license plate check revealed both vehicles had been reported stolen from Prince George. With the help of a RCMP Air Services helicopter, members located the stolen Jeep Cherokee and Dodge Dually pickup driving westbound on North Nechako Road, and a pursuit ensued through the North Nechako area to Reid Lake Road and Chief Lake Road.

The green Jeep Cherokee was stopped when it rammed a patrol car, injuring a male RCMP member, who was taken to Prince George Regional Hospital with undetermined injuries. The driver, Colby Johnson, was arrested. RCMP had recently asked for the public’s help in finding the escapee, as they feared this type of pursuit situation might occur, resulting in danger to the public safely (Escaped Inmate Seen in PG).

RCMP continued to pursue the white Dodge pickup and eventually used a tire deflation device to stop it. The driver abandoned the pickup in the 7200 block of Frontage Road and fled on foot. After a short chase through residential yards, RCMP took the unidentified 34-year-old into custody.

RCMP say both men could be facing a number of criminal charges, which could include possession of stolen property, causing police pursuit, dangerous driving, and criminal negligence.

Way to go guys!
Tie them up in the public square and let the owners beat on them with sticks or what ever else they would like to use. Then lock them up and cut a couple of fingers off so they remember what they did.

A little harsh, but maybe others would get the message.
Sorry to hear the officer got hurt. I wish a quick recovery for the officer.
Cut it off? Start with the little finger - the one between their legs. No one wants another spawn from those two.
Gee, tell us how you really feel ther Yama.

Yes something needs to be done but I am not sure your option is the best idea either.
Lock them up. Put them out of commission for as long as we are legally able. Who cares why they behave they way they do. It's time to protect the rest of the population from the likes them.

Let the bleeding hearts visit them in jail and councel them. I don't deny them help, but not at the expense of the rest of the population.

Their rights end when they begin to override mine. Chester
Right on, Chester. Truer words were never spoken!
Lock 'em up and throw away the key. Then feed them white bread, cheap mechanically separated hotdogs, and "western family" ketchup for days on end....yuk. No TV, no internet, no billiards, and force them to read high school text books for 8 hours a day until they memorize or advance to the next level. Also, televise their routine on local TV during prime time so the up-and-comers can see what's awaiting them.

Here's another idea....Hold a "creative punishment" competition and let the community vote on the best ones...then implement them.
I got a better idea, send them to McLeese Lake on a camping trip, then phone the cops.
Implement all of the above-but ignore Gofaster's postings.
Let the "bleeding hearts" do the mop ups, without pay!
