Air Canada Jazz cancelled all of its flights this morning because of a computer glitch.  The  computer system was down in B.C. so there were no flights going anywhere.

That meant three flights out of Vancouver  to Prince George which were supposed to arrive at 9:10, 11:20 and 1:05 were cancelled and their turn around return flights departing from Prince to Vancouver were not available.

Hundreds of passengers were impacted including one MLA , Iain Black, who had planned on attending a forum with health care and safety experts in Prince George.

Flights are expected to start  returning to normal this afternoon with the arrival of flight #8207 at 4:25.  The return flight (#8208) is scheduled to depart for Vancouver at 4:50 this afternoon.

I think I would be more concerned about any passengers who were scheduled to catch a plane for a pre-booked vacation to some distant location and ended up missing it ..... especially those who were going to be hooking up with a cruise with short connect times to get on board.
A little scary that one little computer can shut down the province???
It gets worse.
All major companies are moving their headquarters to Ontario.

You would think they would move things around throughout Canada if for no other reason than security and safety...
