Softwood Deal To Be Signed Today

The softwood lumber deal will move one step closer to completion today when Minister of International Trade, David Emerson, welcomes  U.S. Trade Representative, Susan Schwab to Ottawa.

The two will meet to talk about bilateral trade, and will follow that session with the signing of the Canada-U.S. Softwood Lumber Agreement.

Signing off the legal text of the document, clears the way for leigslation to be introduced in the House of Commons.
