RCMP responded to a complaint of shots fired in the downtown area last night.

At about 10:15 p.m., several males were seen assaulting another male at the corner of George Street and 6th Avenue. After five gunshots were heard, the suspects fled the scene in an older black Ford Expedition and a newer Gold Chevy Blazer.

The suspects were last seen heading southbound on George Street. Anyone with information is asked to call the Prince George RCMP.

We had just left a restaurant in that block at that time and were sort of wondering why the police cars were driving around with sirens going. We were with visitors to town. They were staying at a downtown hotel and we were saying good night to them outside the hotel.

Guess we need to be more careful next time and go to earl's and get them rooms at the Sandman. Less likely of something like that happening there.
Just make sure they hide all their valuables or take them in the room or they won't be there in the morning. Thieves case the Camelot, Anco and Sandman along that route.
