Border Reopened to Live Canadian Beef, Hearing In Montana in Doubt

Live Canadian cattle under the age of 30 months, can now be shipped  into the United States.

The border was re-opened as the result of a ruling by a 3 judge panel of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals which overturned a temporary injunction that had been  put in place by a Judge in Montana.

That same Montana Judge was to hear  arguments later this month aimed at making the injuction permanent.  That court action was launched by a  U.S. ranchers organization called R-CALF.

Prince George M-P D ick Harris was one of several delegates from the Federal Conservative party granted special status to make a submission to the court  on July 27th.  The ruling late yesterday, which re-opened the border, now  raises questions about that planned court hearing.  It is doubtful the session will go ahead.

R-CALF had hoped to argue before the Court that Canada's beef should not be allowed into the U.S.  as they claim Canada doesn't adequately check for  mad cow disease.

IMO, it is about time. I just can not believe that anything was accomplished without the help of BRIAN SKAKUN. He (if you don't recall)is the tough city councillor that fearlessly and foolishly took on the battle of hockey inforcers. My hero.......................

listen learn, and try to improve your mental ability, there is only one way: LISTEN TO THE SPANK SHOW!
Well, I'll be darned, spanky, and I was just waiting for Pat Bell to take the credit!!!!Now , what can he crow about???
I still don't think it was Skakun. We should initiate a contest. "Who peddles the bull the best?" Lots of competitors!!! Kind of like taking your pick!!!
IMO, Barney Skakun would take the cake. With ol gordy second and smack bell a close 3rd.

Does this mean Dick does not get to go State side on our money?????
