Harcourt Key Speaker This Week

Former B.C. Premier Mike Harcourt is coming to Prince George.

He will speak to the findings of the National Task force on sustainable communities on October 13th during a noon luncheon .

Harcourt will speak to the impacts of Globalization, environmental concerns, the consequences of downloading from senior government and the need for resilient places in an age of rapid change.

Harcourt is best remembered in this region as the man who brought the Kemano Dam completion project to a halt during his term as Premier.

The non profit forum@columbianinstitute.ca is sponsoring the event and tickets can be ordered through them.

Nice guy, just doesn't pick his friends very well. And he is financial secure, which always seems to encourage granidose dreams of utopia for those with dreams of social engineering.
