Prince George Cougars suffered their first loss on a six game road trip, dropping a 2-1 decision to the Kootenay Ice in Cranbrook.
A late first period goal by Curtis Billsten gave the Ice a one nothing lead after the opening twenty minutes.
Dana Tyrell scored the Cougars first short-handed goal of the season to tie it at one in the second period. But 51 seconds later Arnaud Jacquemet scored on the power play to put the Ice ahead to stay.
Real Cyr made 33 saves in a losing cause.
The Cougars are now two and one on the road swing.
