Guilty Plea in Kalmokoff Killing

Vernon Kyle Wilson has plead guilty to the second degree urder of 20 year olf Candace Marie Kalmokoff.  

Kalmokoff, a 20 year old  student at the College of New Caledonia was  killed  in her  Prince George apartment, her body then dumped in an alley behind a real estate office on 15th  Avenue on New Year's Day. Wilson  and Kalmokoff knew each other, but were not romantically  involved with each other.

Initially, Wilson had been charged with manslaughter, that charge was then upgraded to first degree murder following new sworn information,  and now a guilty plea on the  charge of second degree murder. 

Dates for sentencing will be set  November 20th.  Wilson faces life in prison with no parole for at least 10 years.
