Local Firm Invests in Students

 "Want more out of your business?  Get more out of your Accountant."  That’s the advertising slogan of the Prince George based Chartered Accounting firm of Chan Foucher LeFebvre.  

UNBC has managed to get quite a bit out of that firm. 

CFL has become the first to take part in a program that will fund a new annual award for a third or fourth year UNBC Accounting student.

Chan, Foucher, Le Febvre has donated $10,000. The amount will be matched by the Chartered Accountants Education Foundation. UNBC Presidnet Dr. DOn Cozzetto is hoping other firms will follow the lead "It provides a wonderful opportunity for employers to link with top students who may end up becoming their employees after graduation."

The Bachelor of Commerce degree is the most popular credential at UNBC and the Accounting major has the largest enrolment of any major at the University.
