College Heights outlast Duchess Park at snowy Masich Stadium

The High School football Prince George Bowl was more like the snow bowl as the College Heights Cougars outlasted the Duchess Park Condors 14-6 on the snow covered Masich Place Stadium field.

Both teams struggled with the slippery conditions before College Heights snapped the scoreless tie with a Kevin Gillespie touchdown in the first quarter. Gillespie ran for another major in the second quarter but a late Condors touchdown left the Cougars with a 14-6 half-time lead.

Defense and penalties dominated the second half. The only point came off a missed Duchess field goal in the fourth quarter. College Heights capture a third straight Prince George highschool football championship

I thought that they had to change the venue from Masich because of the possible damage to the new grass?????
Great, now the field is really screwed up.

What happened?????

I hear they had about 1500 people for the game. Wow!
