Fatal Accident West of Vanderhoof

Treacherous roads are being blamed for a two vehicle crash  20 km west of Vanderhoof at Engen.

There is one fatality reported.

The accident closed the highway shortly after 5 pm, and reopened to single lane traffic at 8:30 pm. Two lane traffic is not expected to resume until early Sunday morning.

The heavy snowfall has left most of Vanderhoof without electricity, with some urban areas expecting to be without power until Sunday afternoon.
