Piles of snow on one of the main streets in Vanderhoof (photos Jan Baker Opinion250News)

Life is slowly getting back to normal west of Prince George as  B.C.  Hydro   continues to make repairs to  power lines that came down under the weight of heavy wet snow on the weekend.  Highway 16 west was closed  in sections west of Vanderhoof, and thousands of people were without electricity.

BC Hydro continues to work on the problems.

Here are just a couple of photos to show just how much snow fell in the Vanderhoof area.  Keep in mind,  sections of the Bulkley Valley  are said to have been  dumped with 4 feet of snow!

Trees snapped under the weight of the snow, and power lines  carried the weight as well
