The National Hockey League Players Association has ratified the new agreement  reached late last week with the NHL.  Following the vote, NHLPA Executive Director Bob Goodenow  issued this statement:
"After two days of thorough discussion and analysis, the players voted in favor of ratifying the new Collective Bargaining Agreement. We expect the owners will ratify the agreement tomorrow as well. Once the ratification process is complete, the focus of everyone can turn to the 2005-06 season."
The NHL Board of Governors meet in New York tomorrow and members are expected to rubber stamp the deal.

Lets hope Vancouver will be able to hold onto Burtuzzi and Nasland.

As well I think this gives Winnipeg a great oportunity to get back into the game. IMO moving the Miami team to Manitoba makes the most sense.

I'd also like to see Carolina, or Anaheim move to Portland Oregon. Also maybe NY Islanders to Houston would be good for the game.

Time Will Tell
Vancouver probably wont be able to hang on to Bertuzzi and IMO who really cares. The guy is a coward and broke the code of hockey by attacking a guy from behind who had already been confronted on the Naslund hit but cooke. He is a loser and a joke.

Hopefully a Canadian team gets Crosby....except for Montreal...puke...LOL!

I bet Bob Goodenow is toast after this is all said and done...they are accepting a deal that is worse than one they were offered a while ago..DOH!
