A man will appear in Provincial Court this morning to face  charges of armed robbery and wearing a disguise.

Prince George RCMP say  they got a call from  the Petro Can on 20th just before midnight.  A lone man wearing a paper bag over his head had tried to hold up the gas station.

The  stores's safety precautions put the store in a lock-down and the suspect was locked inside.  When police arrive on the scene,  a young man, armed with a hammer was trying to break his way OUT of the store.

No one hurt,  although the doors of the store suffered some damage as the suspect tried to break out.

Umm... yeah

I don't think I would want to be the employee locked in the store with an armed robber!
About time they came out with some security measures!...They should have done this years ago to all the stores.one less crook off the streets.
Maybe they should register paper bags. That would cut down on robberies.
Lots of guys in jail with great ideas like this one had! Just goes to show that anything can be used as a weapon - hope we don't have to register our hammers now.
This just goes to show you that after they cancelled "The Gong Show", the Unknown Comic's life has just spiralled out of control.

A tragic comedy.
Paper bag registration, now there is an idea!

Think back, can any of you recall in the heady days of high school that we would one day want to be a robber who wears nothing to work but a bag over their head??????????/
That was a very strong door let me tell ya.
I beat and beat on it with my HAMMER....till I worked up such a sweat my bag got all soggy.
Once my bag got all soggy it fell off my head, and then I just gave up....my identity revealed, what was the point in trying any more.
Now I sit in the Hilton on the Hill.
No Mortgage to pay, or groceries to buy.
Its really not all that bad you know.
The BIG screen is hooked to satellite, so we have 200 channels, and steak night is great....I like my baked potatoe with all the "FIXN'S"

Cheers from the Hill

He must have had something of an I.Q. because he didn't put a plastic bag over his head. What a jerk.
