Health Research Up For Discussion
By 250 News
Closing the gap between research and the doctor’s office is the focus of a three day conference in Prince George.
Health care leaders from throughout this province, Alberta and the Yukon are taking part in Research Use Week. The three day conference is designed to bring those on the health care front lines together with those who do the research. The health care service providers are helping to design the kind of studies they would like that can be used on their day to day jobs.
It is the first meeting of its kind to focus on rural and northern health services.
One of the sponsors is the Western Regional Training Center for Health Services Research. "We bring applied health services researchers together with healthcare leaders who rely on research to make evidence-informed decisions," said Jonathan Lomas, CHSRF’s chief executive officer.
